Augustine is in Stafford, west of I-95, in a real estate development on an estate formerly owned by George Washington's father, Augustine.

The routing is a hilly parkland-style layout over varying degrees of elevation change through tree-lined fairways. Streams, ponds, or wetlands frequently come into play, and sand bunkers are liberally used. It was designed by former Nicklaus associate Rick Jacobson. From the back tees, it is 6,725 yards, 73.2/140, course/slope ratings, with four shorter tees.
