Potomac Shores Golf Club is 40 minutes south of downtown D.C. off I-95 at Dumfries Road to the east on the Cherry Hills Peninsula along the Potomac River.

The golf course is a Jack Nicklaus Signature design flowing through a master-planned community. It's a parkland layout weaving over the hilly, forested terrain along the Potomac on a 2,000-acre tract of land. There are over 200 feet of elevation change throughout, and stunning shot values are seen as the course moves through the tree-lined fairways and along wetlands, with a heavy emphasis on sand bunkering both at the landing zones and defending the greens. The greens are large, sloped, and contoured with generous undulation. A full-size practice range and short game area complement the plantation-style clubhouse. There are five sets of tees from 4,940 to 7,020 yards, with the middle tees at 5,895 yards, 69.4/133, and course/slope ratings.
