Watters Creek is located in Plano due north of the LBJ by 15 miles off the Central Expressway with an 18-hole championship layout, a nine-hole executive course, and a 6-hole short course.

The Traditions is set on slightly rolling land and winds through a creek, lakes, ponds, hills, and valleys along tree-lined fairways. There are several heroic options over water and tree or water-protected doglegs, but mostly, it's open off the tee. The medium-sized, mildly sloping green complexes are often open in front, with a moderate amount of sand bunkers defending the sides. The Traditions course measures 7,015 yards, 74.4/136, course/slope from the tips with four shorter tees, originally designed by Robert von Hagge and Bruce Devlin with a recent redesign by D.A. Weibring.
