Sinking Valley is 12 miles north of Altoona off I-99 at exit 41 to the east in a setting abutting farmland and forests.

The course is a hilly parkland-style layout traversing narrow, tree-lined, and sloping fairways. Several ponds are in play, and a generous amount of sand bunkers secure the greens of various configurations. It is 7,032 yards, 74.6/137 course/slope ratings from the tips with three shorter tees, designed by Edmund Ault.
