Park Hills CC is on the south side of Altoona, adjoining I-99 to the south at the Plank Road exit.

The golf course is a classic parkland layout on slightly undulating terrain in a mostly natural setting in the Allegheny Mountains. There are several narrow, tree-lined chutes for fairways, while others open up a bit with a moderate amount of sand bunkers along the fairways and greens and several water hazards in play. It's short at 6,031 yards, 69.4/126, course/slope ratings from the tips with three shorter tees. The original nine holes opened in 1927, were designed by James Harrison, and a second nine were added in the 1960s.
