River Bend is on the Rio Grande across from Mexico on the south side of Rt 281 just north of Brownsville.

The golf course is a scenic layout through the wetlands of the River Valley, with broad and narrow fairways lined with palm and pine trees over level terrain. Water features are in play on 15 holes with multiple doglegs and numerous risk/reward opportunities. It plays to 6.735 yards from the tips, with course/slope ratings of 72.6/119 and three shorter tees.
