Rarity Bay is part of a Lake Tellico residential/resort community about 45 minutes south of Knoxville, set on a peninsula in the Tennessee River.

The golf course winds through a residential development along broad fairways with scattered stands of trees at the margins. It features well-bunkered fairways and greens, a few water hazards in play, and large, contoured green complexes. From the back tees, it's 6,799 yards, 72.1/121, course/slope ratings with three shorter sets of tees, designed by D. J. DeVictor.
