Kahite is in the Tellico Village development, 45 minutes southwest of Knoxville.

The golf course is wide open, with a links-style layout over mounded fairways and mature hardwood trees at the far borders. There are just a few water hazards, but the fairways and greens are inundated with sand bunkers. It's located in a scenic setting, save for the homes, with views of Tellico Lake and the foothills of the Great Smoky Mountains throughout the round. It's an Ault/Clark design that plays to 7,162 yards with a 129 slope from the tips, the white tees are 6,023 yards, 67.1/123, course/slope ratings with interestingly, a 808 yard par 6 as the 9th hole!
