Maxwelton Braes is 20 minutes east of Egg Harbor, set between Kangaroo Lake and Lake Michigan in Baileys Harbor.

The layout is parkland style, with a combination of open and confining, tree-lined fairways and a significant number of sand bunkers in play along the fairways and guarding the greens. It's a short par 70 layout at 6,041 yards from the back tees, 68.7/114 course/slope ratings with two shorter tees, designed by Joe Roseman.
