Killington is adjacent to the 2nd highest peak in Vermont off Route 4 north of Rutland at the base of the ski areas.

The layout is a true mountain course with the opening and closing series of holes offering significant changes in elevation. The driving lanes blend broad and narrow, tree-lined fairways with multiple water hazards and sand bunkers generally only greenside. It's relatively short at 6,186 yards, 70.3/129, course/slope ratings from the tips with three shorter tees, designed by Geoffrey Cornish in 1983.
