Kestrel Ridge is on the south side of Columbus, about 40 minutes north of downtown Madison, and partially borders a residential community.

The layout is wide open and forgiving off the tee, but it is littered with sand traps, numerous water hazards, and wetlands, with generous, contoured greens of varying shapes. Dan Feick and Chad Eberhardt designed the course in 2002. The tips play to 6,111 yards, 68.6/121, course/slope ratings, a par of 70, and two shorter tees.
