Crossgates Golf Club is on the southwest side of Lancaster, just south of the Millersville University of PA campus, bordered by the Conestoga River and partially through a residential community.

The layout provides broad, tree-lined fairways over rolling hills, liberal use of sand bunkers along the landing zones, and guarding the greens with numerous water hazards in play, and a few blind shots. It features an assortment of holes along the River with several interesting doglegs. It's somewhat short at 6,131 yards from the tips, 69.9/122, course/slope ratings, and three shorter tees, designed by Ferdinand Garbin.
