Cross Timbers is northwest of Fort Worth, just west of Eagle Mountain Lake in Azle off Jacksboro Highway.

The golf course is a secluded, shot-maker's layout with various gentle doglegs along undulating, wooded fairways. From several vantage points, you can see Eagle Mountain Lake and downtown Fort Worth. In terms of hazards, there's one pond and sand traps are positioned sporadically, from some to none, from hole to hole. It was designed by Jeff Brauer and plays to 6,734 yards from the tips, 71.7/128 course/slope ratings, and three shorter tees.
