Clifton Hollow is west of River Falls, north of Kinnickkinnic State Park, and along the St. Croix River.

The golf course layout provides for interesting and entertaining shot-making as it moves over hilly, tree-lined fairways with four ponds in play and small to mid-sized, sloping greens. From the blue tees, it plays to 6,470 yards, 70.6/127 course/slope ratings with two shorter tees. The original nine holes here were designed by Dr. Gordon Emerson in 1974, and another nine holes and a par 3 course were added in the 1980s.
