Abbey Springs is on Lake Geneva's southwest side, just across the Wisconsin border from Illinois.

The layout winds through a residential community along old-growth, hardwood tree-lined corridors. Water is in play on half the holes, and varying degrees of elevation change provide views out over Lake Geneva. From the back tees, the course plays to 6,642 yards, 71.5/136 course/slope ratings with two shorter tees. It was designed in 1971 by Killian & Nugent, with redesign work by Mike Schultz.
