The Venango Inn Golf Course is about 15 minutes north of Meadville and 30 minutes south of Erie off I-79 between Saegertown and Venango on the west side of French Creek.

The golf course wanders over relatively level terrain along fairways bordered by scattered trees. A small stream traverses the middle of the layout, and 25 sand traps defend half of the mid-sized oval greens. Overall, there are four sets of tees, with the tips playing to 6,202 yards, 68.7/112 course/slope ratings, designed by Paul Erath in the mid-1960s.
