Turtleback is about 30 minutes north of Eau Claire in Rice Lake on the west side of US 53.

The golf course provides an interesting routing with various holes and terrain along unique, isolated fairways. It's a mix of broad and narrow, tree-lined fairways, numerous doglegs, multiple water hazards, and sand traps defending the greens and the occasional fairway. There are four sets of tees, with the tips playing to 6,618 yards, 72.3/133, course/slope ratings, designed by Todd Severude in 1984.
