The Wilderness Golf Course is in an Audubon Sanctuary 40 minutes south of Houston, west of 288 on Brazoria Road in Lake Jackson.

The golf course was carved through a clearing in an environmentally sensitive area. Wetlands and/or lakes impact almost every hole, along with sand bunkers at the landing areas and guarding the greens. It was designed by Jeff Brauer and plays to 7,106 yards from the tips, with 72.9/126 course/slope ratings and four shorter tees.
