The Hermitage is on the northeast side of Nashville between the Cumberland River off Old Hickory on 300 acres of lowland on a bend in the River with two 18-hole championship layouts.

President's Reserve is a scenic and challenging design along the Cumberland River. It features a blend of tree-lined fairways, open meadows, and marshland. Numerous water features are in play, and an abundance of sand bunkers defend the fairways and generous greens. The President's Reserve is a 7,157-yard track from the back tees, 74.2/134 course/slope ratings, with five shorter tes, designed by Denis Griffiths in 2000.

General's Retreat adjoins President's course on similar terrain along the Cumberland River but is shorter and tighter with water hazards in play on 14 holes. The mounded fairways are bordered by stands of mature hardwoods with cavernous sand bunkers along the fairways and guarding the greens. It was designed by Gary Roger Baird and is 6,773 yards from the back tees, 72.3/131, course/slope ratings with five shorter tees.
