Tapps Island is on the east side of Lake Tapps, 45 minutes south of downtown Seattle and 30 minutes east of Tacoma.

The layout is scenic even though it borders a residential community along tree-lined fairways with Lake and Mount Rainier views throughout. It's a short, tight layout with OB, elaborate sand bunkering greenside, and water hazards in play on all but one hole. Play this golf course if just for the views! It's 2,722 yards for nine holes; if you go around twice, it's 5,501 yards, 66.1/115, course/slope ratings, and a par of 70, designed by Fream/Thomson/Wolveridge in the early 1980s.
