Squaw Valley is located near the Dinosaur Valley State Park on the north side of the Brazos River in Glen Rose, with two 18-hole championship golf courses owned and operated by the county.

The Apache Links layout provides wide-open, links-style fairways with scattered pot bunkers on the front. The back is narrow and somewhat tree-lined over hilly terrain, with water in play on five holes and 37 sand bunkers overall. Designed by Jeff Brauer, it can play to 7,063 yards, 73.6/130 course/slope ratings from the back tees with three shorter tees.

Comanche Lakes is challenging with a blend of narrow and broad, tree-lined and mounded fairways with two lakes providing water in play on seven holes. It can play to 7,000 yards, 73.9/132, course/slope ratings from the tips, designed by John Colligan
