The Sonora Golf Course is located in the western Texas Hill Country, off Interstate 10 at exit 400, about halfway between Big Bend National Park and San Antonio.

The course is a straightforward layout squeezed between the airport and US 277 in an area surrounded by limestone outcrops and rolling terrain dotted with live oaks. It moves along level fairways defined by a scattering of oaks, with several ponds in play and a few sand bunkers defending the generous greens. It will play to 3,225 yards, 34.6/114 course/slope ratings off the back tees with one shorter tee.
