The Smoky Mountain Country Club is off US 74 just south of Whittier.

The golf course is a parkland-style design with a mix of narrow and broad tree-lined, hilly, and sloping fairways, providing a variety of uneven lies and awkward stances in a scenic setting at the base of the mountains. There is a 500-foot elevation change, several doglegs along mostly parallel holes, a moderate amount of sand traps, and mid-sized to larger greens. From the back tee, it's 6,150 yards and a 70.5/122 course/slope rating with two shorter tees, designed by Thomas Walker.
