Silverhorn is 10 minutes from the San Antonio International Airport off 281 at Bitters to the west.

The golf course is a parkland layout scampering along unique and isolated, tree-lined fairways. It features a large lake and numerous ponds and streams, as well as sand bunkers bordering either the landing areas or the greens. Randy Heckenkemper, along with PGA Tour Professionals Willie Wood and Scott Verplank, designed the course, which is 6,922 yards, 73.4/138 course/slope ratings from the tips, with three shorter tees.
