Ruggles Ferry Golf Course is 20 minutes northeast of downtown Knoxville in Strawberry Plaines off Asheville Highway.

The golf course is over a large, hilly tract of land without homes or development along the holes. There's a mix of open and tree-lined fairways, with Rutherford Branch and a small lake coming into play on a few holes with a sprinkling of sand bunkers along the fairways guard the greens. From the back tees, the course plays to 7,081 yards, 72.8/132, course/slope ratings, with three shorter tees.
