Riverside is 30 minutes south of Olympia and 45 minutes north of Longview, just off the I-5 in Chehalis on the airport's west side.

The layout is a parkland-style design along tree-lined fairways on the east bank of the Chehalis River over level terrain. In addition to the River, there are several ponds in play, and sand traps are positioned mostly around the greens. It's relatively short at 6,155 yards from the tips with a par of 71, 69.5/122, course/slope ratings, and two shorter tees with design work by Roy Goss and Ben Proctor.
