Providence Golf Club is located on South Providence Road, south of the Midlothian Turnpike exit off the Powhite Parkway in southwest Richmond.

The course is a parkland layout in a mostly natural setting save for homes along a few fairways. It features multiple water hazards and wetlands with a variety of sizes and shapes of sand bunker complexes as it moves over land with a slight change in elevation. Lester George designed the course, which has four sets of tees overall, with the tips playing to 6,529 yards, 71.2/134, course/slope ratings.
