The Prairie du Chien CC is in the southeast of town on US 18 north of the Wisconsin River.

The golf course is a straightforward, playable parkland layout with the fairways defined by tree-lined corridors over slightly undulating terrain. Two water hazards are in play, and sand traps defending the greens are the primary hazards. It's only 6,197 yards from the tips, 70.6/122 course and slope ratings with two shorter tees, a 1950s vintage layout with redesign work by Gilmore and Graves.
