Pheasant Country is 10 miles west of Dickinson off I-94 at the South Heart exit to the south.

The layout is over the level, Heart River bottomland, which snakes its way through the course in a setting without homes or development. The fairway corridors zig and sag along tree-lined margins with a modest amount of sand or water features.
