The Oldham County Country Club is 20 miles northeast of Louisville off I-71 in Buckner.

The golf course moves over hilly and sloping fairways on an isolated, natural tract of forested land, save for homes bordering a few holes. It's a straightforward layout with less than 20 sand traps, mostly greenside, a couple of water hazards, and several slight doglegs. Buck Blakenship designed the course with five sets of tees from 4,286 to 6,297 yards, and the white tees play to 6,029 yards, 69.8/124 course/slope ratings.
