The Nesh is midway between Rutland and Middlebury, just off Route 7 on the north side of Brandon.

The course is a classic, Vermont-style parkland layout winding over rolling hills and through pasture land along tree-lined fairways in a scenic setting without homes or development. It's moderately bunkered, mostly around the greens; there are a few holes with water in play, and it provides scenic shot values from the numerous elevated tees. From the back tees, the course can play to 6,341 yards, 71.6/125 course/slope ratings with two shorter tees, designed by Steve Durkee.
