Moody Gardens is located west of Galveston, adjoining the airport to the west and along Sydnor Bayou.

It's an open-links-style layout with water hazards on most holes and open to the constant wind. The golf course moves along broad fairways on level terrain with a generous amount of sand traps at the landing zones and guarding the generous greens. In the summers, the mosquitoes are the golf course's main defense; be sure to bring plenty of Deet with you! The golf course plays to 6,816 yards, 73.3/135, course/slope ratings from the tips with four shorter tees. It was originally designed by Carlton Gibson and was redesigned by Peter Jacobsen and Jim Hardy.
