The Lexington Golf Club is on the west side of town, off Link Road, and 5 minutes from I-64 or I-81.
The golf club is known as the "Jewel of the Valley," and with good reason, as it's a picturesque parkland layout with views of the Shenandoahs throughout the round. Woods Creek diagonally traverses the course, in addition to several ponds and sand traps at the landing zones and greenside, which are the primary hazards. From the middle, white tees, it's 6,068 yards, 70.2/130, course/slope ratings with five sets of tees. The golf club has been around since the early 1900s with several iterations; the present layout was designed by Ellis Maples and Ed Seay in the mid-1960s.
