House on the Rock is about an hour west of Madison near Helen on the south side of the Wisconsin River with 27 holes.

The Front/Back is a parkland-style layout over the valley floor along narrow fairways with water on the majority of holes and small to mid-sized greens well guarded by sand bunkers. There's a good mix of open holes and those that are tree-lined with doglegs. There are three sets of tees, with the tips playing to 6,597 yards, 71.7/126, course/slope ratings, designed by Robert Trent Jones, Sr.

The North Nine has significantly more elevation change over the hilly and sloping tree-lined fairways with several water features. It plays to 3,262 yards from the tips, has 35.4/129 course/slope ratings, and has two shorter tees. It was designed by Roger Packard and Andy North.
