Greene Hills Club is located 30 minutes southwest of Culpepper on the north side of Stanardsville in a natural setting in the shadow of the Shenandoahs.

The layout is parkland style on a large tract of land along broad, tree-lined fairways over slightly rolling hills. There are several water features and sand bunkers both along the landing zones and guarding the greens. The golf course was designed by Ray Loving and plays to 6,400 yards from the back tees, 70.8/124 course/slope ratings, with three shorter tee boxes.
