Forest Hills is 20 minutes west of Portland on the south side of Cornelius, surrounded by farmland and fields.

The course is a classic wandering over slightly rolling terrain along tree-lined fairways. Numerous streams and ponds impact play and sand traps are generally alongside the modest greens. It's scenic as well, with views of Mount Hood, Mount St. Helens, and Mount Adams throughout the round. Billy Bell designed the layout, which is short at 6,303 yards from the tips and has 69.9/123 course/slope ratings with two shorter tees.
