The Elk Ridge Golf Course is a one-hour scenic drive east of Portland at the Carson Hot Springs Resort on the north side of the Columbia River Gorge in Carson, WA.

The layout is wide open, save for loosely defined fairways of evergreen trees, and it is in a most scenic setting with views into the Columbia River Gorge and Dog Mountain. There are two ponds and 45 sand bunkers along the fairways and bordering the ample, contoured greens, and when the Gorge's winds are up, it's a wind tunnel! The course was originally a nine-holer built by Rudy Hegewald in the early 1990s, with an additional nine holes added later with a redesign by Russell Sheehan. It plays to a par of 71, 6,461 yards from the tips, 70.8/127, course/slope ratings with three shorter tees available.
