Woodloch is an hour east of Scranton in Hawley, just south of the Woodloch Resort, on the east side of Tinkkwig Lake, within a resort residential community.

The course has a mountain-style layout with impressive elevation change as it traverses broad fairways lined by deep forest in a scenic setting. It's challenging with elevated tees and greens, rolling and sloping fairways, multiple water hazards, and an assortment of sand bunkers lining the fairways and defending the greens. There are several heroic forced carries like Hell’s Gate Gorge, with 220 yards to reach the fairway! The course was designed by Rocky Roquemore in 1992, and from the tips it's 6,579 yards, 72.0/139, course/slope ratings with five shorter tees.
