Brainerd is a municipal golf course east of Chattanooga on the west side of Chickamauga Creek.

The golf course is a classic from the 1920s, winding along rolling, mature hardwood tree-lined fairways with multiple water features leading to minuscule, elevated greens well-defended by deep-faced sand bunkers. Designed by Donald Ross, it can play to 6,470 yards, 71.1/125 course/slope ratings from the tips, with three shorter tees.
