The Blue Ridge CC is on the northeast side of Galax, a few miles off I-77 at the US 58 Exit.

The golf course has a somewhat hilly layout in the shadows of the Blue Ridge Mountains, with scattered trees lining the fairways. It is mostly open off the tee but has several tight driving corridors. In terms of hazards, Cranberry Creek and several ponds are in play, and sand bunkers are generally positioned around the greens. It's a par of 70, 6,116 yards from the back tees, 70.5/131 course, and slope ratings, designed by Gene Hamm.
