Bavarian Hills is in St Mary's, 20 minutes north of Dubois, carved through and surrounded by forests.

The layout is a parkland-style design along rolling and sloping, tree-lined fairways with sand bunkers, primarily greenside, and abundant water hazards in the form of wetlands, ponds, and streams. It's 6,096 yards from the back tees, 70.4/134, course/slope ratings with two shorter tees, designed by Bill Love and Brian Ault.
